Strategies for Helping Students Experience Academic Success -- Vlog Edition
I am excited to share my strategies for helping students experience academic success in the form of a vlog! On the vlog I share my time tested best-practices and longitudinal data of the implementation over 4 years and two schools.
If you enjoy the content here, please follow the School Counselor Space blog and subscribe to my YouTube channel (help me reach 1,000 subscribers)!
As promised in the vlog, here are the tools I use:
- Making Data Work
- Motivation Style Assessment – find out what motivates them and share this info with parents and teachers
- Learning Style Assessment – This assessment will give them specific tips that learners like them can do to learn better. Ask the student which ones they will implement. Share these with parents and teachers
- Obstacles to School Checklist – share this info with parents and teachers, and administrators. You may also want to remove some of these questions to be compliant with PPRA if you don't obtain permission from parents before asking students to complete the checklist.
- Which Study Habits can you Improve?
- My Attendance Success Plan
- Organizational Skills Bootcamp
- Positive Academic Progress Agreement
- I don't mention this resource in the vlog, but it is a must have if you are learning how to collect and use data effectively in your program.
Please remember to share this post, and follow the blog if you like the content and use the tips and tools I share, and subscribe to my YouTube channel to help me keep my content free.
